Country Girl?

My eldest daughter asked the following question tonight...with a serious face.

"Mom, do you think I'm a city girl or country girl?  Are we country kids?"

Evidences of Spring

The snow is almost completely gone and the ice is rapidly leaving the rivers.

Crocuses are our first sign of Spring here.  Most have bloomed and are dying by now but the girls have had their fill of searching them out.

Bugs, bugs and grasshoppers.  Jessie especially is intrigued by the creepy crawlies.  Here she is leading a grasshopper catching brigade.

Yes, the mosquitoes are out too-large and slow.  It's not until the second and third generations hatch out that they become pesky.

And of course mud boots are in season.  They are the footwear of choice from April until the end of May when most everything is dried up.
